Love Your Neighbor As Yourself
October is the most beautiful month for me in the States with the trees changing so many colors. This is my favorite time there.
I hardly know how to write this update because my eyes cannot stop seeing all the lost things from the flooding here in SE Asia. My heart goes out to the people in the USA who are also experiencing devastation from the hurricane. It has broken my heart deeply. It reminds me when I was a little girl. My family’s bamboo house caught in fire and burnt to the ground. Then I lost my mom. Then with my dad, we experienced many hardships. I can relate to some people here who have lost family members and everything in the house.
Even here where our GROW home is located, there is flooding. We at the GROW home are so grateful to our Lord for protecting us from the flooding damage.
This terrible situation has given us the opportunity to go out to share the love of God by helping, listening, cleaning and giving contributions to so many people. The Bible tells us to love our neighbors as ourselves. I am doubly blessed to see my children willing and wanting to go to help other people.
