Celebrating the Girls GROW has Rescued
Since 2009, when GROW started with four children, 28 girls have experienced the love and healing found at the GROW home. This month we celebrate the impact in the lives of these girls and thank God for the eight new girls rescued this year.
The first home built on our campus was a home for girls followed immediately by a boy’s home. Built for 8-10 girls and a set of house parents, it has housed up to 14 girls at a time. The government has been gracious with us as the needs have been so high. Now that our second girl’s home has been completed, the government is pressuring us to take that number back down to 8-10 In the first home.
We currently have eight older girls in the new cottages (full) and 12 in the original home (full +2). We simply couldn’t turn the extra two girls away. Each girl living at GROW has been rescued from a desperate situation and now has the opportunity not only to have a childhood, but a future.
What now? To continue our rescue efforts, GROW is working on plans to build a third home for girls in 2024. When you give to GROW, you help provide not only excellent care for the current 20 girls and 8 boys on campus and our college students, but also help us build more homes so more children can experience love and healing, a childhood and a future. Thank you!
