A 13 year old Boy

He is a 13 year old boy from the Hmong tribe. He is studying in the 6th grade. He came to the GROW home because of the family violence happening in his home. His dad uses drugs and was beating his mom. He lived in a village without electricity or water with his six siblings. Most of the time he had to work on the farm and was not able to go to school. Even today, after two years, he is behind in reading and writing.

He  is one we must train how to use water for the shower, to use the restroom and to use soap. We must teach him everything for daily care of himself including how to wash his clothes.

His family are not believers. After two years. His parents’ relationship is getting better. They are working on the farm and learning how to care for their high schooler and younger child. They even share their produce with our home. We are thankful for God’s daily working even in the most challenging situations.

Please pray for him to do well in school and for his family to know Jesus loves them.
