Focus: Expansion
I Corinthians 3:6-9 (paraphrased)
“I, apostle Paul, have planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service. . . .”
In 2023, Corinthians 3:6-9 started to become a reality, when a like-minded ministry, Sending Hope International, contacted us. They were asking us to consider expanding GROW by assuming their established ministry. Sending Hope International’s founders Pastor Dave and Joyce Atkins were facing some uncertain days with Dave’s health failing rapidly. Both he and his wife Joyce wanted to be sure the work God had started with Sending Hope International would continue and expand. By early 2024 the torch was passed, and GROW was honored to receive it. Pastor Dave entered the arms of Jesus and GROW began the process of acquiring Sending Hope International. Several GROW boards members, along with Faa, visited and researched the ministry followed by an extensive report to the other board members for a vote. With prayer, a unanimous decision was made. This month the papers will be signed and Sending Hope International with its Thailand and Cambodia campuses will officially become part of GROW.
We know that this undertaking is a huge responsibility, but also an opportunity to expand the gospel to other parts of the world. This acquisition doubles the number of children in our care. This is a huge responsibility, but one we believe God has been preparing us for quite some time. With the new responsibilities will come a transition period as Faa moves away from our original campus director to take on a regional role. Faa will be able to train and disciple the staff as well as continue to oversee the care and programs for the children and their families. She is very excited about this opportunity as it has been part of her vision from the beginning.
We are excited to introduce to you soon 47 more children in Thailand and 8 in Cambodia. I have no doubt you will fall in love with them as we have. We also welcome Sending Hope International supporters to the GROW family!

For the protection of the children until they officially come under GROW’s Child Protection Policy, we are not showing the precious faces of the Sending Hope children at this time.
PRAYER:
1. For wisdom in the transition process in integrating Sending Hope International.
2. For the new staff and children that a sense of family can be built as they become part of the GROW ministry and program.
3. That we will see God’s faithfulness in continuing to provide for GROW as we seek to honor Him with this expansion and the excellent care for these additional children.
