2026 Prayer Calendar
12 Months of Prayer – Seeds that GROW Hope
Each month, join us in prayer for the children, staff, and supporters of Grace Refuge Outreach Worldwide (GROW). Together, we plant seeds of hope that God grows into healing, joy, and new beginnings.
March – Faithful Caregivers
Behind every story of restoration are caregivers who pour out love daily. Pray for their strength and compassion. Below is the testimony of two of GROW’s caregivers. These two ladies sacrifice, love and care for the children on our campus in Cambodia.
Testimony of Saolin Oungchay – GROW Hope Cambodia Campus Director
My name is Saolin Oungchay. I came to faith in God in the year 2000 through my mother, who was a widow.
I completed a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance with the goal of becoming a successful businesswoman. However, as time passed, I felt a deep desire to know the
God I believed in more personally and deeply. This led me to continue my studies in Bible school.
During my time studying Scripture, God transformed my thinking in many ways. He placed in my heart a greater love for Him and for people, along with a desire to restore what is broken. I have always carried a burden for poor, homeless, and vulnerable children. I long to see them receive an education, experience emotional and psychological healing, and grow into a hopeful future.
I find joy in simple things—sharing books, pens, and snacks with children in poor communities. I never imagined becoming a Campus Director. I knew this role required sacrifice, resilience, and the responsibility of being like a mother without having prior experience. I believed I would simply continue serving children in local communities—teaching God’s Word and occasionally providing food.
At the beginning of 2025, while working in a finance office, a clear thought came to my heart: Saolin should lead a specific and defined mission. I did not understand how this could happen. I had no salary, no funding, and no plans.
During this season, I was caring for my mother, who became seriously ill with a lung disease. I resigned from my work to care for her for four months. Due to financial challenges, we were unable to seek proper medical treatment, though her condition has slightly improved.
While caring for my mother, I spent time with many young nieces and nephews. Some of them became deeply attached to me, almost as if I were their own mother. This experience stirred something in my heart.
Through continued conversations with my close friend Thanny, I learned more about the children’s campus that needed a new leader. Though I listened, I was hesitant. Later, after meeting Thavy and understanding the situation more clearly, I began to pray: “Lord, is this the mission You have for me?”
While praying, God gave me a vision of a strong, fully grown bird—free to fly and able to sustain its own life. As I received this image, I felt warmth and peace in my heart.
At that moment, I made a complete and confident decision to commit to this work without hesitation.
Testimony of Thanny Hong – GROW Hope Cambodia Staff
My name is Thanny Hong. I come from a family of six siblings—four brothers and two sisters—and I am the second child. Both of my parents are believers in Jesus Christ, though my oldest brother has not yet accepted Him as Savior.
My family has a history connected to the Khmer Rouge. We lived along the Thai Cambodian border, and I was born in Thailand on December 22, 1982. My father served as a doctor in the army.
I completed Grade 12 in 2001 in Trat Province, Thailand. After returning to Cambodia, I pursued studies in agriculture and fashion design, reflecting the interests of both my father and mother. I graduated in 2006 and worked as a fashion designer and tailor for three years.
Due to family difficulties, I closed my business. During that challenging season, I heard the Good News of Jesus Christ. I came to understand that God is the Creator of all things and that I was a sinner in need of salvation. In 2011, I accepted Christ. I was baptized in 2012.
In 2013, I began studying at Phnom Penh Bible School, where I served as a children’s teacher and youth leader. After graduating in 2018, I continued serving in my local church. I also completed an Associate Degree in Public Administration from 2018–2020.
Later, I worked as a coordinator with CBN Cambodia in the Sunday School Special Lesson Project. During COVID in 2022, I became connected with Sending Hope, where I met Thavy, their campus director, and began assisting with various tasks.
Seeing the hardship of the children deeply moved my heart. In 2023, I began serving voluntarily without salary. In 2024, the organization was acquired by GROW, and I continued serving part-time.
From 2024 to 2025, I helped teach God’s Word, lead worship, teach children at the center, assist with home repairs, build bathrooms and beds, prepare guardian rooms, work on government legal documentation, and support many other operational needs. I also assisted in searching for and identifying a new leader to replace Thavy, who had to leave for family reasons at the beginning of 2026.
I chose to serve full-time at GROW because I see the great need among the children. I desire for them to know God deeply, grow strong in faith, complete their education, and live better lives. I long to see a worship center built, additional staff facilities developed, homes established for the children, and more workers raised up to serve.
I serve not because of money, but because of compassion, mercy, and love that come from God.
We All Need a Caregiver – Reach Out to Jesus
Is your burden heavy as you bear it all alone?
Does the road you travel harbor dangers yet unknown?
Are you growing weary in the struggle of it all?
Jesus will help you when on His name you call
He’s always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true.
Walking by our side, in His love we hide all the day thru.
When you get discouraged just remember what to do.
Reach out to Jesus, He’s reaching out to you.
Is the life you’re living filled with sorrow and despair?
Does the future press you with its worry and its care?
Are you tired and friendless, have you almost lost your way?
Jesus will help you, just come to Him today.
He’s always there hearing every prayer, faithful and true.
Walking by our side, in His love we hide all the day thru.
When you get discouraged just remember what to do.
Reach out to Jesus, He’s reaching out to you.
. . . by Ralph Carmichael
It doesn’t matter your age or your abilities, because of sin every living being needs care. We don’t have what it takes to make it on our own. We need a caregiver and Jesus is the ultimate caregiver. Through Jesus all our needs are met (Philippians 4:19). On the cross Jesus took care of our spiritual needs. There He died to pay the penalty of our sin, so that we might have a forever home with Him in Heaven (I Peter 3:18). In Christ we don’t need to be a slave to worry because we are important to Him and whatever we need He will provide (Luke 12:24-28). We won’t be in want. He promises that He is not going to ever leave us or forsake us (Hebrews 23:5) Even in the darkest of days God is going to be there for us and take care of us (Psalm 23:4). We can never outgrow God’s care for us. Isaiah 46:4 says, “Even to your old age and gray hairs I am He who
will sustain you. . . I will carry you and I will rescue you. “And don’t worry, He is not ever going to grow weary in caring for you. For He has said that He never grows weary (Isaiah 40:28). All we have to do is just reach out to the caregiver. Reach out to Jesus because He is reaching out to you.
Prayer:
Lord, renew the strength of every caregiver. Let them feel Your presence in their work
and reflect Your love to each child.
“Let us not grow weary in doing good.” – Galatians 6:9
